I'm new. And i got a weird car.

Hello.
I'm young lad from Slovenia (europe).
I got a question regarding an old car we found. It was my grandad's but we dont have any information about it. It's really weird shaped Oldsmobile
Which kind of model is this?
Is the shape (wagon style) factory made?

thanks for the answer

Welcome, Naur! That's an interesting looking Olds. I've never seen one like that. I look forward to learning about your car, and hope you will be restoring it.

My guess is a European-built professional car- most likely a hearse with the viewing windows. Tail gate looks like British design.

Naur, that is a neat car. The body is a custom build but the rest of the car should be standard Oldsmobile. www.professionalcarsociety.org or www.professionalcar.org are good resources and they'd probably go wild over this car.

The design of the windows don't look vintage to the car. Mods were done much later, IMHO.

1950 Olds Coach built Hearse. The work looks coach built vs home built.

I believe that was built out of a 49 4-door sedan by a coachbuilder. The back doors are just like the sedan. It is definitely worth saving. Just don't break one of those side glasses because you would never find another one.

That looks a bit like Mercedes wagons built by Binz Karosserie.
