Howdy frum the grate state o' Tekshus

Pulled the trigger last week on an almost exact replica of the 72 Cutlass Supreme that I drove off of the showroom floor in Sep 1971.







Here's a pic of the original and me carrying my newborn from the hospital in Sep 1974. How 'bout them plaid bell bottoms !!!

plad, fad. Oldsmobile, never goes out of style. Awesome car you found. Post more pictures. Does the baby you carried to the cutlass like the one you got now? I showed my black car to a girl that said it reminded her of standing on the seat of her mothers cutlass when she was very young. She thanked me for reminding her of that memory.

I bet they didn't even have infant car seats at that time, It must be a great feeling stepping back in time, every time you open the door and sit down for a nice cruze.
Looks great, any plans for the car?

This is my 11th vintage car...and the first one that I don't have to do anything but drive, and enjoy it. Well, almost - the A/C needs some work.

Both my son's love all my rides but this is the first one they remember.

The other cars in my sig are all replicas of cars I had before they were born

Exception being the 37 Chevy coupe - it's a replica of my dad's first car.

Congrats from another Texan on here. My new car in 72 was a Monte Carlo and we brought our daughter home in it is 1973. I never wore bell bottoms but I had several leisure suits. This is really a nice car. I would encourage you to come to the NTOC Zone Show up in Gainsville in April. It on the 22nd. It is a great time.

That is one clean bottom on your ride, hardly any rust at all.I useto wear bell bottoms back in the day so my cowboy boots wouldn't hang on the cuffs, cowboys don't do plaid.... Tedd
