Cool help my 1971 98 coup

Hello to all. I have been having a hard time finding parts for my 98. You can't find floor pans, door panels, window motors practically nothing. I seen alot of old car junk yard way out west.. I wont give up on this car because shenita is special to me. I call her shenita cause she needs everything Thanks for listening.

Body, interior, and trim parts are not reproduced for any full-size Oldsmobile. Anything you need will have to come from donor cars. If you know of some junkyard cars out west that have to parts you need, jump on them. Keep searching ebay as well.

You might be able to get window motors from Fusicks or Kanter. My 71 98 had alot of old grease and crud in the window motors and mechanisms. When I installed new weatherstripping I had a local window shop realign the glass. He completely removed the mechanisms and motors and cleaned and relubed them. They work better but the motors are still worn. The windows go up and down slowly but now at least I don't have to help them up. You could also get the motors rewound at a local rebuild shop.

Fusick does show availability of power window motors in their Cutlass catalog (46C) on page 34, and the description says they're for all '61 to '77 Oldsmobiles. $149. It's unfortunate that they don't mention this in their big car catalog as many people with a full-size car looking for window motors might not think to look in the Cutlass catalog.

I couldn't find any power window motors at Kanter.

That seems like a decent price. I would have never thought to look in the Cutlass catalog. Fusicks has great service as well. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them.

Too bad Kanter didn't have any.

Rock auto lists window motors for 98s. Guess they are rebuilt as there is a core charge.
BTW, also has weatherstrip for them.

I didn't know Rock Auto carried weather stripping for my 71. I bought a full set of weatherstripping for my 71 98 from Steele Rubber. The quality was OK and the customer service was OK. I would probably order from them again if I needed weatherstripping.

That is cool that they have rebuilt window motors. I've ordered from Rock Auto before and they have great prices and good service.
