73 Oldsmobile 98 Coup
Hi Guys i am new to this forum
Can you possibly help me with a part issue i am having at present
I am in desperate need of 2 x plastic/rubber fillers that go between the body and the rear bumper barof my 1973 98 Coup
the ones i have are brittle and falling appart and in Australia i have no hope of finding them here
Any help leads on where to find them would really be appreciated.
Thanks
Paul.

A "coup" is when you overthrow the government.
These fender extensions are a well-known problem for these cars. I believe Toronados of this era have the same problem, and these parts are not available in the aftermarket. Someone on this site with a '76 98 found someone to reproduce them, but I don't know how far this has gone, and I don't think extensions for a '76 would fit a '73, but I don't know for sure.
In any event, your most likely source is to get them off of a junkyard car, but the problem is that anything on another '73 is just as old as what's on your car and just as likely to be rotted out as these things simply deteriorate with age.
