Hello from North Texas!
Hey guys, my name is Steve and i'm out here in Fort Worth Texas and I have recently purchased my first Oldsmobile! Its a 1972 Cutlass S, a car that I have been in love with since childhood! It is a good start for my first project car and I am excited to find so many passionate fans out there like me. The car currently has a pontiac 400 in it coupled with the 3 speed transmission. There may be some electrical issues and there is some rust being that I bought the car from the northeast. She has a lot of potential though with an original 442 hood and a Hurst dual gate shifter console inside. I am doing the most important thing first and pulling that pontiac engine out which I just finnished doing yesterday and I am currently looking for a rebuilt 455 to drop in! any help in my search is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to CO, Steve, from yet another North Texan! Great start. You might want to run down to Waxahachie this weekend (come down 287 from FW) to the North Texas Olds Club annual Zone Show to be held at the Sleep Inn and Suites on Hwy 77 just north of 287 (the bypass) on the north side of Waxahachie. Folks coming from all over the state - someone might know of a 455 for sale. Hope you can make it. Google North Texas Olds Club, then click on the April Rocket for more information. Look forward to meeting you.

I managed to get some pics posted so you guys can see where I am starting. I want to go to that meeting in Waxahachie so bad but unfortunately I will be out of town for work. I will just have to make it up another time. Thanks for the welcome though, I look forward to speaking with you guys as my project progresses.

Welcome to CO Steve.
Looks like a great project.
If you can't find a rebuilt 455,
I have a 70 model 455 with E heads
Complete, pulled from a 70 Supreme,
All brackets, pullys, etc.
Had a rod knocking.
I am not to far from you, outside of Austin,
in Marble Falls. Shoot me a pm if interested, Adam.
