I'm a new owner of a 71 cutlass supreme convertible named Lorayne. I'll be checking in from time to time for advice on doing things here and there.

 

Hi and Welcome to our site!!! We would like to see pics of Lorayne - what's the story behind her name??? Safe to assume you're in the Airforce?? I like your avitar pic. Glad you joined us!

 

;-) I'll post some day one photos soon. I thought it was in my sig pic but guess not. The name just kinda came to me. I was looking at her this past Saturday came home to look at what parts were going to cost me and back to the future came on. Then on sunday, after i had decided to pick her up, I was again looking at options for paint and body and The Power Of Love -by Huey Lewis came on and reminded me of back to the future again. Any way, the name popped into my head and stuck. My wife likes to think its because her middle name is Lorayne .
I'm actually ex Army 82nd Airborne Division.

 

Nice car and good luck with the build. Lots of great folks and info here. Post pics of your progress.

Thanks for the warm welcomes guys. Right now I'm trolling around the forum to find places to order panels and a rear fender. Loryane has some rust spots. On on the rear driver fender that's pretty bad.

My sister lives in Leadville, CO, she's higher than you.
She's also nuts, walks around in the bush reading books and leads nature hikes.

Don't hold it against her, she really doesn't know any better.
The sad part is that she isn't even a blonde.
