Hello

jlw442 from Toledo, OH blue collar upper middle age guy with his first muscle car since high school. Have been browsing all summer and pulled the trigger this weekend on a 1969 aztek gold on gold 442 that is 90 -95 % very happy with purchase but suddenly remembered that I know nothing about Oldsmobile’s, always been a mopar and ford person. This seemed like a good way to develop some good resources and find out about different events and cruises. I will do my best to follow rules and respect what all of you have built and look forward to getting to know some of you better.
Thank jlw442

Welcome to C.O.
Well, 90-95% happy is a good start. What's 5-10% wrong?

Car is very nice just lots of project (I guess thats why we buy them) under hood needs tidy up w/new ignition wires and looms some new cables and hoses routed an secured properly not sure if the air cleaner is correct, not trying to make a show car out of it I guess I'm just sort picky about details. This is a automatic with 4.11 posi in the rear with a mild build long stroke 400 not sure what to do here 3.23 gears, R700 overdrive trans, or gear vendors overdrive tail section for the kitted t400. Interior is nice want to get rid of Pioneer box in dash and go with a concealed sound system, 1st on the list is to get the B&M shifter out and go back to a console and stock shifter. Seats are real nice but down the road could use new foams and spring, and if the girl friend don't claim it as her own I see a 455 in its future. dos'nt seem like alot when its all rolling around in my empty head but I start listing it I don't see myself hanging out in bars anytime soon
