Hello!

Hi Everyone,

New to the website. Life long muscle car fan but I've finally purchased my first Oldsmobile. A numbers matching 1970 Cutlass SX. Looking forward to the learning curve and fun of owning this awesome car.. a bit of a diamond in the rough but that's part of the fun!

Thanks,
Ross

Looks like a nice car! headers with dual exhaust must sound good, Original 1970 front fender also. Engine looks pretty clean with fresh paint? was it rebuilt? Hows the interior and rest of body?

She's showing her age. Paint is a 20 footer depending on your eye sight! All original body panels. Sounds real good, 3 inch stainless exhaust with crossover. Has the front fender braces and all the other SX goodies... Received the GM Vintage Vehicle Services package for it confirming it is a real SX.

That thar's a pretty shiny diamond for being in the rough! Nice and WELCOME!

That car reminds me of one that my friend had back just after HS, his was a '70 C/S the same color & interior as yours (no vinyl top though), w/ a 350-4bbl and was pretty darn fast (faster than my '68 2bbl). It unfortunately met its fate at one New-Years eve party, we were both parked along a 2-lane country road, my '68 just behind his '70. Some drunk came along, missed my '68 and swiped the entire side of his '70. Hit-N-Run. Since he was a body-man, he fixed it up and sold it. But that was the last time I parked on the side of a road.

It takes a great picture... Paint is really bad when you get up close... Someone rushed the job and it'll need stripped down and redone...

Love the SX cars. They were basically the 442 that wasn't badged as such. Made a huge difference in insurance back then when the industry was hitting performance cars with huge premiums.

The engine looks like someone rattle canned the top end but otherwise very nicely presented. I can clearly see the fenders are OEM as they don't have the crinkle zone ridges that 71 /72 had.

Cool ride - enjoy the open road!

Car was built 3rd week of August 1969 and shipped September 2, 1969. 320HP, L33 455CID. Yes original body panels as the 1970 fenders didn't have the crinkle zones.. and yes someone just rattle canned the engine in place...

Its going to be a fun one to work on. Looking forward to digging into it.
