Gainesville Olds Gator
Hi,
Cleaned out my garage this past Thanksgiving Holiday and found my treasure trove of olds parts I have been saving for over 20 years. Mostly used stuff but will post some of it here to start getting rid of it to guys who can use it.
I have a 1968 Cutlass S convertible. This is my third one. I bought my first one at age 14. It was 1976 and it was a ragged rag top with a bench seat i paid $200. Put in buckets and pulled out the carpets. Timing chain went out and put in another used 350 from a junk yard. A light pole made too many modifications to the rear quarter panel. I bought my second one and made one out the two. The second was a rust bucket from NY. I cut out the rusted rear fender wells and modified the front fenders. Took off all the emblems and painted it black. I put on giant western cyclones with 10" 60s tires in the front and 12" 50s on the back. It was cool and nobody was sure if it was a pontiac, olds or buick from the side. The signature front grill and rear tailight bars was a dead give away. I sold it for 1500 bucks for a deposit on my first house in 1988.
In 1993 I bought my third project car. Another rust bucket that I have never been able to keep rust free. It is time for my third restoration of the paint and body and I just dont know if I am going to try to save it.
I have nice black interior, buckets, console, AC, tilt, power windows. Fresh Hi performace 1970 350, turbo 400, posi from 1970 SX, front disk change over.
Look for my parts on the the other forum.
