Hello. New guy here. Just bought a '71 442 Coupe (being delivered today).![Smile](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Bought a brand new '86 442 in '86 and have been looking for a nice 70-72 442 for a long time. Been a GM A-body guy for a long time ('71 El Camino, '68 GTO, '70 GTO Judge, and just sold a '71 Chevelle SS454 to buy the 442). Now I'll have to get my 442 knowledge up to speed and look foward to spending time here.

Thanks, I agree. I DEFINATELY "traded up" in quality, rarity and I've personally ALWAYS liked the 442s the best. Around '74-'75, my next door neighbor's boyfriend had a Silver/Black stripes '70 442. I fell in love with that car and knew I would have a 442 like that someday.
