Whoa, just noticed you show trim of 997? bench or buckets? I only am aware of 987 (white bench) or 977 (white bucket) in vinyl.

Look again. There was no "997" trim code for 1971. The only white trim codes for a 1971 Supreme Convertible were 977 (bench seat with arm rest) or 987 (bucket seats).

I think you mean the other way around? My parts book shows for white vinyl- 987 as bench, and 977 as buckets for 4267.

I will look for a picture. It’s been in storage for the last 12 years.

Can someone give me confirmation on whether or not the date code decider is correct, as well as the pearl interior or is the interior color called out as just white?

01D does equal January (01), fourth week of that month (D), 1971. My book just says white for the color. I don't remember a "pearl white" being available until years later.

Thanks. As for the color, back in the late 90s or early 2000’s I was looking at new seat cover material as the drivers seat is ripped and I believe it was offered In white and in pearl color. The off white of the Pearl was a closer match to my seats than white. I would be more apt to believe your book than my mind from 20 years ago.
