I purchased my first Cutlasd in 1968 brand new from Pinckney Oldsmobile in Winter Haven, Florida, as a junior in high school. Got my second one when 2 weeks before graduating from high school from Tomlinson Oldsmobile in Lakeland,Florida. Still have it! It’s a red and white holiday coupe with the W31 option, with all W options available. Did a frame on a few years ago. Engine has never been touched, has Hurst dual gate.
I have owned several other cutlass overtime, but managed to hold onto the W31 and a 1967 Cutlass Supreme with 43k miles.
Welcome to the site, nice cars! Congrats on being able to hang on to it through the years. Many of us have had to sell our car when life changes came, so its nice to hear that you've held this one that long.

Welcome to the group... Definitely a very sharp looking W31... It's great that you are the original owner of a great piece of Oldsmobile history... Your 67 is sharp as well...
Really nice cars.
I couldn't imagine being a junior in Highschool and buying a brand new car then a year later another? That is a unique situation to me and on top of it all, still have the second one.
Did you trade the 68 in for the 70?
Was the 68 a Hurst?

Been working since I was 14. Bought and paid for these cars myself. Had a 68 Camaro before the 68 Cutlass. The 68 was a Holiday coupe as well. Did own a 1984 Hurst for a couple of years.

Work ethic like that is pretty rare in today's youth and is a perfect example of working hard and starting early and also good investing. 1000% ROI at minimum, not too bad.
Belated congratulations on having the motivation and drive to be able to buy the new cars while still in High School! You learned the work ethic early! Beautiful cars. Welcome!!
