Hello I'm new to the forum I have a 69 Cutlass s holiday coupe originally a v8 car now has a 67 Short stroke 400. My question is my car doesn't have the original front seats and I wanted to know if the car had bench seats or buckets originally how would I tell. And is this something I can see on the cowl tag
Based upon the information contained on the link below, the '69 Cutlass S Holiday Coupe came w/ bench seat as Standard Equipment while the Strato Bucket Seats were an available A51 option on Coupes.
I suspect the Cowl Tag might demonstrate the A51 Option if the car was born w/ that option, but I am not certain about this. I am not certain if the seat retaining floor pan bolt/screw assemblies are different between the bench and the Strato Bucket but I suspect the floor pan bolt/screw retaining assemblies would be different.

For the 1969 model year, TR 334 is a gold cloth bench seat interior. RPO A51 was the standard equipment configuration on a Cutlass S coupe that year, as shown in the page from the SPECS booklet posted above.

I'll be the first to own up to making a mistake, perhaps I don't understand how to read the SPECS booklet. It's my understanding under the title STANDARD EQUIPMENT are listed the standard equipment items....Seat, Bench Front (Coupes) is listed as standard equipment. Under the title FACTORY-INSTALLED OPTIONS are listed the factory-installed options...A51 Seats, Strato-Bucket - Coupes is listed as a factory-installed option for the optional price of $88.46. Am I misinterpreting how to read the SPECS?

Sorry, my mistake. I should have written that RPO A52 was standard equipment.
Thank you so much for the help I figured the car came with a bench seat but I wanted to be sure now I can start looking for one also need a back seat somebody bolted in high-back bucket seats out of a Camaro and put a roll bar in this car I just wasn't sure how to read that cowl tag properly thanks again

OMG, you have high-back bucket seats out of a Camaro in the back seat and a roll bar? That is classic!
Lol the Camaro seats are in the front has no backseat at all. The guy I bought it from said he built it for doing this race called the silver state classic he had a stack of receipts for everything he done I was mostly interested in the 67 Olds 442 motor that's in the car Short stroke e block 400 with very low miles. Bought it for $4,000 drove it home
You might try posting to the Parts Wanted (WTB) section & give it a spin. List the year and model you have and you're looking for a standard front bench seat (and a rear seat, as well I guess). You might find a couple CO guys have what you're after and possibly not too far away.
BTW, if you find the seats and backrests, etc. but not the correct colors &/or fabric, you can peruse Legendary Auto Interiors for the correct colors and fabric - good folks, top quality.
