No matter how you define "classic" my two little W-bodied Olds's are fun to drive and tough. I got hit hard enough to turn the car sideways, and it just straightened out and still drives fine, even though the insurance company totaled it. I hardly felt the impact. Bought it back at scrap value, bought another just like it (twin) and still had a bit of scratch left for gas. No arguing it's a good car.

Gotta find the camera!
Still trying to find the camera, and get a good clear day to take pics. We just moved. Everything still in massive disarray. Good news is now I can fit both Olds and the other half's Ford Taurus in the driveway. Before, one of the Cuttys was spending weeks at a time at the in-laws, then the other. Now If I could just afford to keep gas in both at the same time...(and hers)...

I have two W bodies, an '87 Olds 88 and an '88 Buick Le Sabre, both great cars and much easier to drive than a full size on Englands overcrowded narrow roads.
They attract a surprising amount of attention at American car shows from owners of older traditional V8 rear drive Detroit iron, they get curious when I tell them it has a transverse V6 driving the front wheels. Occasionally I let them take it for a spin, they often remark how well it will pick up its skirts and fly if they put their foot down.
They give far better gas mileage (at about $11 per gallon that matters!) than any other American car I've owned, makes them affordable classics in my book.

Yes, they are fun to drive with good pickup when entering traffic. No drag-strip acceleration, but it will do. I get around 19 to 20 miles to the gallon running on regular gas. These days High octane guzzlers are just to expensive for daily driving. More fun, but expensive. The 1st gen all digital dash is just cool. The body looks sporty. The factory rims come with wheel locks they are so desirable. While not a true muscle car, the "W"'s still were innovative and fun.
