I didn't know that the 455 was available in the Cutlass in 76. T-tops are definitely something you don't see everyday. If the car is in good condition it is definitely a keeper.

It was for sure. 1976 was the last year for it, but not many were sold even though it was the car of the year and they sold A BUNCH of Cutlass' that year. Most got the 350, some the 260 or the 455. I'd bet more 260 cars were made than 455 cars. You have to remember it was right after the oil embargo and the big engines were going by the wayside.

Man I miss my 76 Salon. I had a ton of fun in that car even though it was only a 350. The only thing I have left from it are the fender and trunk emblems.

Odd, that's about all that's left of a '76 Vette I once had! (fiberglass shatters on impact)

I knew the 455 was available in the full sized cars in 76. Oldsguy had a 76 Olds 98 coupe with a 455. That was an AWSOME car! I bet the Cutlass is fun to drive with a 455.
