Hi, good evening this is my first post. I want to swap out my non-tilt steering column for a tilt steering column on my 1972 Olds 98. Any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks, mike

Hey Mike, Glad you came aboard.
Your post is a little ambiguous on first read. Not sure if you are trying to say:
1. Hi, I need a tilt steering column to install in my 98,
2. Hi, Is it a big deal to change the non tilt column in my car for a tilt unit?
3. Hi, How do you swap out a non tilt for a tilt column?

So:
1 - If you need a tilt column, go to the 'Parts wanted' section and post it there. I don't know what your needs are since this is in the 'newbie' forum. There are several members on the site who part out cars regularly and might be able to help. Maybe send one of them a PM (Private Message) John (2blu442) Scott (Oldspackrat) Eric (jensenracing77) Joe ( J-(Chicago) ). There are probably others who might have this column, so I still suggest you post a thread in Parts wanted section.
2. No it's not a big deal, it's really straight forward. Just need some wrenches, a flatblade, needlenose pliers and some patience.
3. This is where a CSM (Chassis service manual) and an Assembly manual comes in handy. You can download free information at another site called "Wild About Cars" Free registration and use. Free to share. If you run into problems navigating it, I can help you.
