New Olds guy here
I recently restored the 1970 442 you see attached (yeah, I know it's not worthy of the W-30 stripes; but it looks good). This is my; numbers matching, as close to correct as I want it to be car. Now I am building a machine that I hope can fulfill my old gear-head fantasies; a 1965 F-85 two-door hard top with a 455 stroker. I am enthused about this site and hope to learn alot as well as contribute. Wilson

don71, I just bought the '65. Attached is a pic; it's a pretty solid car. I haven't decided for sure what color to paint it, but I'm leaning toward Black Cherry (maroon). My paint man says it has to be really straight for that color. Wilson

Why don't you think it's worthy of the stripes? I think it looks fantastic. Sport mirrors (those are one year only) W25 hood, dual exhausts (It is a 455 right?) Nice white interior, SS1's. Have you thought about adding a rear deck wing (Option W35)?
You don't have to apologize to anyone for anything you've done to this car. There are lots of guys out there who would die to have it!
