hi, i have a 1970 442 i bought in 2017, i've been trying to find some history on, i bought it from the third owner, he bought it in 1989 from patchogue long island, at that time it was a medium red color, the original color was sherwood green but it was changed at some point between new and 1989, he said the second owner had drag raced the car, street or strip i don't know, when he got it in 1989 it had been stripped of some body and interior parts, had nitrous lines and electric fuel pump mounted in trunk, and red w30 fenderliners, he pulled it back to brooklyn gathered parts ( 71-72 ) hood, fender and bumpers and drove it thru the 90's and early 2000's, moved to s.c. and sold to me last year. i am in the process of restoring, have stripped car completely down, only paperwork found was an unreadable build sheet in back seat frame, but the seats had been changed from green to black, so i think they were from another car anyway, and the third owner had no paperwork other than tiltle, the dash remained green throughout so i was hoping someone from the area may remember a red hot rod 442 with a green dash, if anyone does please let me know. thanks
