hi i recently picked up a 69 visa cruiser. gas tank had been removed. i'm not sure how the straps that hold the tank up are configured. i have one long and one short strap. i'm looking for a picture.

 

In 1970, the curved strap goes under the tank and the straighter strap goes between the body and the tank. Therefore, the strap bolt was at the bottom of the tank on the body side. 1969 should be similar; check to see if you can get the straps installed like this.
