64 super 88 vs. 64 cutlass

Hello all.
I recently started work on my second Oldsmobile a 64 cutlass. The front end is in pretty rough shape. I haven't had much luck locating a donor car. I did find a 64 super 88. Just curious if there is any chance I could move the whole front end (core support hood bumpers fenders etc.) to the cutlass.

Welcome to the site! Have you tried a parts wanted thread yet? I probably have an extra core support and fenders, maybe the grill but probably not headlight surrounds or hood. I believe there's others here with 1964 parts too. I agree, purchasing a whole parts car would be preferred over individual pieces here and there. I'm located in Southern Oregon, let me know if you'd like to see pictures of anything. John

A tape measure would answer this question for you. The S88 is about half a foot wider than the Cutlass. They are completely different cars. This would be like asking if you could use Impala sheet metal on a Chevelle.

might have better luck with a 65 cutlass. I've seen a couple for sale in Colorado the past 6 months. One was south of Parker.

But the hood and front fenders are different on a 65, along with bumper.

I don't think the OP cares. Sounds as though he wants a whole new clip.

I think you should buy the Super 88. Not for parts, just to have another Oldsmobile. You can never have too much of a good thing.
