56' Oldsmobile holiday 88

yo!
So I own a 56 olds and I am currently about to bring it in my garage and take it apart and work my way up.. here are some photos.. I will return and post new photos once progress happens.. oh, and any suggestions or sites I can go to for parts incase i need to get something for my olds?
And suspension wise, I will be bagging it. I have a 4link for the rear and i was wondering if anyone else has done it, could you send me photos of your work?
thanks guys!023.jpg236.jpg

Welcome to CO

Very cool. Is the running gear all stock? How about some close ups of the interior and engine compartment
Try http://www.fusick.com/ for parts

I have seen your car someplace before, I remember the blue color and the gray scallops. Nice car, welcome to CO.

Cool car. Why do you want to take the car apart? It looks pretty complete...

I'm sure in the pictures it looks alright but in person to me anyway i have big plans to completely restore/ customize a lot on it. I want to shave the firewall, replace the 350 in it with a new 350. air suspension, all new upholstery, and make the body completely straight. and re-paint the car.

Say you're getting an Olds 350 and not a chebby right?

Nice looking car, great body style. Start a thread in the Major Builds forum when you start work, and make sure you take lots of pics!

I don't know any of the specifics, but from what I've gathered it's a lot easier (and better) to put in an Olds engine than all of the modifications you would have to do in order to drop in a Chebby. I'm sure other more qualified people will chime in with specifics, but it sounds like a nightmare.

An Olds 455 with a turbo 400 will slip right in there. I have a pictorial on installing one in my 57 Olds. Looks like a factory install when done right.
