2BBL Carb to Edelbrock Carb Throttle Linkage

I am just finishing up my engine install and want to hook up the Edelbrock carb to my throttle linkage, but I am running some into some issues trying hook up the linkage again. I was wondering If I can get some pictures of the throttle linkage of anyone that has done this swap, or maybe just some pictures of a 2bbl carb throttle linkage. My chilton manual is not helpful with this.

Try PEGASUS.com for off beat throttle stuff. Had a perfect mod for my 1964 mechanical pedal to a edelhoser carb. Bill

I'm not sure I understand the problem. Your Cutlass has a cable throttle. All you need is a bracket that bolts to the rear carb mounting bolts to hold the cable. You'll likely need to do a little fabrication to adapt a Qjet bracket to your E-brock. I've cut and welded stock brackets to fit the spacing on aftermarket carbs.

This is the Pegasus website for cable ends. It should get you to where you need to be. They have a pretty lengthy catalogue so dont despair. Ive had really good luck with their stuff... Bill

You don't need cable ends. The stock accelerator cable already has an eyelet. All you need is this throttle stud kit from E-brock.

I guess the issue I am having is I cannot see where the bracket can hook up. The intake I have, has a block off plate that resides on the driver side of the engine, right next to the carb, but the bracket I have is just different enough that it will not bolt to the spot.

The stock Qjet bracket is held by the two rear carb mounting bolts. There are different versions.

Be aware that the bolt spacing on the Qjet is different from that on square bore carbs. The Qjet holes are closer together. Your E-brock actually has both bolt patterns drilled into it. Your manifold likely does also. The brackets I showed will only fit on the inboard sets of holes. Alternately, you can cut the bracket and extend it to fit the wider square bore pattern. I've done that before also.

Just an FYI, had you posted the photo of your exact problem in your first post, it wouldn't have taken 11 posts to get you an answer.
