200 4r vs turbo 350

I have both,[200 4r not a G/N] it cost almost three times as much to build the 200 with the good stuff as opose to the 350,I can't quite see how thats worth it on a car to be driven under 6k a year, Help me out here,pros/cons please. Thanks

Talking Welcome to CO

Most people who are going with the 200 are looking for the overdrive for the gas milage. In your case I don't see the point because your not going to be driving it much. The 350 will work fine for your use

You could probably come up with some estimate of the gas mileage difference and then do the math on 6,000 miles a year. The payback would probably be a long time. I would go with the 350.

It's not just the gas mileage, though that's one reason why I'm building a 200-4R. Also keep in mind that the OD top gear, coupled with the steeper first gear (2.76:1 vs. 2.52:1) allows you to run a steeper final drive ratio, and still keep the engine RPMs bearable at freeway speeds. 4.11 gears with a 200-4R is like running 2.78:1 gears with a TH350 - engine RPMs at 60 MPH will be about the same. On the other hand, off-the-line acceleration will be decidedly different.

We need to see some pictures of this project, sounds interesting. Now that I know more about your ride and the extent you have gone to already then I vote for the 200-4R might as well go the extra step and have the best combo as Joe stated.
