As a family we have been gifted a 1998 Oldsmobile Regency which is in general good shape.
Have been having a hard time finding tutorials on repair as it seems no one is fixing these much anymore.
My recent issue I am trying to solve is replacing a Fan Blower Control Module (automatic and variable temperature control) The original OEM is super expensive and the control module of later years was redesigned. Does anyone know if later controllers are compatible? I can see that the later ones are four pronged vs 3 pronged and longer. Thank you so much!

You should get yourself some factory manuals. You can get electronic manuals here:

I had a 96 98 and the printed manuals were the same as the electronic versions. Generally you want to stay with original manuals so the images don't loose resolution during scanning, but the Bishko manual is better than a Chilton's guide.
Also, you should be able to find parts for your car in the salvage yard still. Use this search engine:
