1974 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon Rear Bumper Repair

My name is Dennis and I recently was bumped hard enough on my rear bumper to push in one side.Is there a proper way to pull that back out? I know it is some kind of shock absorber.The contact did not do any damage other than pushing that corner in but I need to get it back even to get to my gas flap cover.Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks...

Take a come-a-long (cable puller) attach to the bottom of the bumper, attach the other end to solid anchor and crank on the handle.

Henry I do Appreciate your quick and helpful response; Your advice was taken and the bumper popped back into place perfectly. Now I can open my fuel flap to feed the Beast.
I am pretty new here to the family but see this is the place. I will get some pics loaded soon. Any idea where to find a glove box lid and Quarter Window outer molding?
Thanks Again;
Dennis
