1970 455 Oldsmobile pilot bushing

I own a 1970 Rallye 350 with a transplant 455. I installed an America Powertrain Underdash Hydraulic throw out bearing. Im having an issue of setting up the clearance between the bearing and pressure plate. I installed a 1/4 adapter between the bell housing and transmission. Now that i have the clearance correct the input shaft is only in the pilot bearing 3/8 of Inch. I found Mcleod made one for a Pontiac 455 that is the same size 1.38OD. Inner diameter. 0.594 0.954. Has anyone run into this problem? And do you know a better fix or any ideas? Thank you Steveg@3224

Is your crankshaft drilled for a pilot bearing/bushing?
