I hope some of you 67 W30 guys in your vast wisdom can help me with an issue I'm having. My W30 air shroud sets so high that it touches the hood insulation. Do any of you guys have the same issues? and is that normal? If not, what can be done to create more clearance?

it is stock intake and carb, everything in engine compartment is stock.

The OAI air cleaner is not any taller than the rest of them. Is the thing fully seated on the quadrajet?

I have an Edelbrock with a holley and I can only use a 2" filter element

Depending on if the insulation is fully glued to the inner hood the insulation will touch the top of the air cleaner or shroud. Clearance is tight even in the best situations.
