1957 371 j2 carb question

I recently purchased a nice 1957 super 88 hardtop with the original J2 371. Someone removed the original J2 intake, which I have, and replaced it with an Edelbrock 4 barrel. I'd like to put it back to a tri-power configuration BUT I'd like to set it up with progressive linkage versus the original Rochester vacuum closed/open configuration that it came with. I don't care if its exactly original. I was looking at possibly using Holleys and jetting them down if need be...Thoughts & recommendations??? Thank you

The only carbs that will fit the J-2 intake are the small based Rochesters (G2 , CG2).
Holley 2 barrels are way too large and will not fit.
The only other possibility are Mopar 318 carbs which have the same base pattern.

Speedway Motors sells progressive linkage kits;
