1954. First start in 20 years

Hi all, New to the forum. Just got myself a 54 super88. Heard are a couple of pics and a vidio of first start in 20 years.

Thanks for asking. She runs.

She started up and sounds ok. I need to rebuild or replace the fuel pump as I was keeping her going by spraying gas down the carb. I had the fuel line disconnect under the hood by the pump as she has about 1/4 tank of 20 year fuel still in her. Ran a line from pump to gas can but got no fuel to the carb. Work in progress and having fun doing it!

Strange it didn't have fuel to the carb on a gravity feed can. You might try and thump the carb and see if the floats are stuck.... Tedd

Thanks Ted. I didn't try gravity feeding. That would have been to easy!🤯 I was trying to get it to suck up fuel through the fuel pump via a can on the ground. Will have to give gravity a try.
