Lynn Neves for Frank St Elmo
Lynn Neves for Frank St Elmo
Frank passed away on Halloween morning after having cancer for just over three years. We were together then, as we always were.
I've been contacting people and you are all on my list. Was hoping to let you all know before it became public, as some of you were longtime and personal friends to Frank. So sorry if this catches some off guard.
He really didn't talk much about his illness, but he may have told some of you privately. He didn't want people to feel bad, just wanted to carry on with his life, as it was to be.
Frank requested to be cremated and to have, as he put it, "no dead party". So we honored his wishes and he was cremated Saturday morning. There were and are no services. I'll be posting his obit here in a day or two. Cars were his life and he enjoyed all the time he spent with you all; at shows, races and here chatting, fixing the cars, sharing jokes, and solving world problems.
Thank you all for the friendship you had with Frank. It meant a lot to him to be part of this and his other clubs and chat groups.
Best regards, Lynn

I met Frank at an OCA Nationals years ago, and somehow he managed to remember my name each time we met, despite the fact that we only saw each other once a year. He always seemed upbeat despite his physical issues, and usually had a smile to share.
Sorry to hear of his passing- we've all lost a friend.

The first time I met Frank was many years ago, I forget the car show but it may have been one of our NE Olds Club meets or a GMO show, not sure. He was super aggravated I pulled into a spot I guess he felt he should have had. This was when I first started going to the local OCA club shows/meets. Not knowing the ropes or his situation, I don't remember if I wound up moving my car for him or not. If I didn't, then I should have. But he sure gave me heck for it. The second time I met Frank, and every single time thereafter, Frank always went out of his way to say hello to me and was an A #1 person, just great to be around.
I am very glad to have met and known Frank. R.I.P. sir, and I know you've secured a great #1 spot in heaven.
