CO Member tcolt passed away?

As a Vista Cruiser owner, I had been watching Tom's (tcolt) restoration of his '72 VC, especially since he was asking many of the same questions I had.
I saw this on eBay today: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Oldsmo...r/283721878342. From all the discussions and pictures Tom had, this sure looks like his car.
And then I remembered reading this from Tom (post #22): https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...des-me-135738/
Does anyone have any info on Tom?

I worked with Tom a lot to provide the small parts he needed for his restoration. Tom told me he had advanced lung cancer.

He and I emailed often. When I didn't hear from him in a few weeks, I asked how he was doing.

I didn't hear back, so I assumed he was either gone from our reality or in the hospital. That was 7 months ago.

Oh I certainly hope not.... but it sure does look that way.... I also was following his progress on his car as I had a Vista also. Well, I hope your hunch is wrong, but it sure does look like his car and in Los Angeles.... I never had looked at the cancer thread, now I wish I had. I am shocked and saddened by this.

Just looked back on one of Tom's old threads about the roof window repairs he did and saw a Mercedes in a picture that I think is the same one in the background on one of the ebay pics. I'm afraid it is true. How depressing. I guess we all should treasure each day....

His last post was June 19, 2019. In the cancer thread he mentioned that he was 55. One never knows what waits around the corner. God bless tcolt, R.I.P.

I got a reply from the seller. His brother is selling the car; Tom died July 29.

Wow. I set my project aside for a time owing to life commitments and discovered I hadn't logged on here in just over a year. I met Tom in Sacramento when he sold me a pair of doors (the original ones from his car) for my 72 VC. We had a good long chat in his friend's driveway - very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful guy and a perfectionist (I think as many of us are). That makes me sad that I didn't see that post from him last year. Hopefully someone is able to finish his project for him, as from what he told me, I know he put a lot of painstaking hours into it.
