Talking 64 cutlass TH400 trans?

so I know I can do this, put a 455 with a th400 in my 64 cutlass. My question is, im doing a frame off, and i would like to make sure I have addressed everything before I get the body on. Ive read that the 455 prety much will drop right in, but the trans mount has to be relocated back further on the frame. Who has done this, and what is the cleanest way to do so.

thanks !!!!

Have done the swap but it has been so long ago. If crossmember had to be moved it was no biggie as there is room to slide it back and make 4 bolt holes...

On the later A bodies, a 400 was available, so the holes were there for the crossmember.
Mount the engine and trans, side the crossmember into a squared position, and drill away!

You will have to drill holes in the frame for the cross member. Also a drive shaft will have to be made. You may just have the original one shorten and a T-400 yoke installed.
