Very nice work Shane, I just saw your build for the first time. I've picked up a lot of pointers for my car. Hoping to send mine to paint soon. I was amused by your comments on choosing black. I have been the same with mine. I get so wishy washy. It is black black black and then I start second guessing myself. After seeing yours it is definitely black!

Yeah, it is a good time. I would be a hike for you though. I'm going to have to take a day off of work to see the track event because it got moved to Friday this year due to a scheduling conflict.

Today was the day that i started to put my new TKO 600 into the car. I had an extra 350 block kicking around so i thought i would use it to make the mock up easier. It was nice putting the motor in and not worry about all the extra stuff getting hung up or scratching something. I knew the trans would be coming out again anyway to weld up the hole in the floor. Speaking of the hole in the floor..... It was a bit bigger than i expected, but oh well it's still not that bad. I had to drill 2 new holes in the frame for the trans cross member, but i knew that going in. I almost for got that the shifter position is probably around 1/2" out from the original location.

I ended up with one hole that was the size of the shifter boot sticking through the floor. Looks like you know what you're doing. Very sano!

Wow really? i wish i was that lucky! I have no idea why, but i have seen all different size hole sizes, it seems like no 2 cars are the same. I kept cutting a little at a time, and then trying to slide the trans cross member underneath until it was able to slide under and get the mount bushing in.

That was after the whole trans tunnel was taken out and pieced back in. You should end up with same. I should have made that clear. When it was finished it looked really nice.
