The underside of my roller rockers

Hey all, Been waiting for a response from Scorpion, in the meantime I thought I would ask here- what caused this wear and should I re-use these rockers? 68 350
Thanks for the thoughts.

See the shiny "circle" in the middle of the underside where the stud goes through? That was all the blue color before installation.....let me know if that makes sense please.
TY!!

The more I look at these I am beginning to think my machinist ( I think I mentioned before he has lost much of his mental capacity and therefore I can not confirm) may have "machined" them to clear because there is not a single mark on any of the studs nor is there any evidence of blue aluminum on the inside of the heads. I guess that being said it makes me wonder why some are machined more than another- although most are very close in appearance to the naked eye. I have tried putting them on the same stud they came from and there is nothing rubbing or touching even when twisting the rocker while rocking it, not even close and I can see clearance between bottom of rocker and stud nut , thoughts? Thanks!

Pushrod too short? I would re-mock it up and verify the witness mark the rocker is leaving on the valvestem via a sharpie. You want the the tightest or narrowest pattern anywhere from the center to slightly on the exhaust side of the valve stem. I personally wouldn't let it ride anywhere on the intake side of the valvestem. Do this while checking for clearance at the rocker to the retainer and the rocker to bottom of the stud during the complete revolution of the camshaft.

Each valve , save the 5 scarred up ones, has a nice tight, middle of the valve stem, even "wear mark".

Someone on here had the same problem with Harland Sharp rockers as well, a couple of years ago. So when i got my HS rockers i discussed with Mark/cutlassefi we decided i should remove the same on them, so i did. No problems to date that im aware of. As i recall the other member did the same after seeing that the studs started the process for him. Sorry i cannot remember who it was.
