500 up front 1000 over time for a total of 1500 I've actually seen this one and its sweet plus I'll have a parts car I plan on taking most the body parts from my omega in the yard and stansfering it. I've thought about this I don't have to sell the car just some parts to get my 500 down payment and I get a drive able car real soon plus no title Hassel ik its more money but I'll be able to get my license get a job and go places and pay on it.

$500 sounds like a good deal Bill. If you can
DRIVE it home...you say bring it home...?
100% interest doesn't sound to good though...
Good luck, with your decisions.

No, TruBlue - It was $1,500. $500 down, and then another $1,000 in payments.

So long as it's a $1,500 car, it's a good arrangement, and I'm in no position to judge what the car is worth without seeing it.

What did you pay for the first one ?
Will he take that one back and put the cash for the other one to lower the price some sense he sold you a car with out a title or proper paper work ?

The reason is basically tell you title it it's junk you could pull parts have it hauled off but if you had a title you could pull parts and get scrap price for the remainder

Nvm guys he will only do 1500 even without trans and there's some rust holes in the wells and I got some more recent pics and it went downhill been outside in the elements and doesn't look as good as in those pics. Looks like I'll spend the money and get this omega running somehow.

Not to be a debbie downer but you can find a running 80's g body for 1500. That's what they go for all day in my neck of the woods. Of course they will need some tlc but they are cheap.

That's what I got to thinking for that money I can get one with an engine and stuff I thoughts hed take about 500 off if I didn't get the trans but he's wanting 1500 even without it that's what really turned my interest down pulse little rust holes could be bigger than I think

Dude keep a eye out I am trying to talk the wife into a 69 right now to buy for 500.00 no drive train needing quarters and interior they come along often usually when you don't have cash
I suggest work on your engine research the title bond and save alittle and see what comes your way

Maybe buy a beater that runs to get you around and build your weekend worrier

All pun intended jokes apart. My fiances dream car is a 69 cutlass. When I was 17 was working on a buick 350 powered 79 malibu. Sold it and got the cutlass. I regret it because I love those malibus and it was going to be buick powered. Don't be affraid to stick you olds engine in another car.

Yea I love olds mostly cause its my first car and stuff but if I wanted to get something to drop my engine In I'd like to get a buick regal lol. And the carter avb 9605S is similar to the 1405 which is a 1406 without the choke so a 9605S will in fact be a a perfect match yes?

I agree that a rusty Nova with no transmission does not sound like a good deal for $1,500.

There's a lot out there - Just keep your ear to the ground and you'd be surprised what'll turn up.

Yea I guess I'm just scared of having to do this bond with having to have my car valued and junk that's what has me worried

Well, a $100 bond, that is returned to you after a specified period, likely with interest, vs $1,500 for a junkyard refugee...

1406 and 1405 are the same carb the 1405 is tuned richer and is better for applications with headers. The 1405 had no electric choke. The 1406 is more of an eceonomy carb.

I know the 1405 is a manual choke and the 1406 is eletric choke

I know that the eddies is a carter based carb but not sure what changes were made from the two
I do know they look exactly the same as I was going to use it cause mine was leaking after rebuild ended up just needing one of the plugs on the bottom it fell out during rebuild and I didn't catch it
