a question for the disc brake experts..
I recently purchased a 4 wheel disc brake conversion kit from the right stuff, it is an excellent kit and has many nice features btw, my question is in regards to the proportioning valve, the kit I received has this valve under the master cylinder, on my 4 wheel drum brake set up the distibution block ( I do not think it is a proportioning valve on drums is it?) is mounted on the frame below the steering column.
I would really like to mount the proportioning valve in the same location as it really cleans up the brake lines and the clutter on that side of the engine, can I just mount the proportioning valve in the old location and ensure that the lines to fit? is there anything I need to check, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You Joe, I am running Stock manifolds, and I went with a 9 inch booster, I will also probably run a high torque mini starter just to make some distance from the exhaust pipes and starter. I may be able to use the stainless replacement tubes from my drum brake set up which never had fluid through them, but it would sure make the engine compartment more tidy... very cool.....
Unfortunately, the drum lines typically use different threads on the fittings to prevent improper installation. Try it, but don't be surprised if some are different sizes.
