I remember being your age. What a blast! I did a Chevelle 1969. Had a lot of fun in that car as you will with yours. Great going!

I moved your thread to our projects section, I'm sure you'll have other things to add. Nice work!

Thanks to both of you! and I appreciate it. I would love to post more pictures, but its a hassle to do via computer. I will contact the website creators to see if they can help me add pictures via mobile!

Well it looks great, is it running now? Put up a YOU TUBE video if possible.
Did you actually disassemble the motor and put new rings, bearings, cam, etc? More pics, good luck.

It's actually easier to do it with the PC.

I think you are doing great!

A lot of us have done that, and we still are. Its a lot of fun and keeps us sticking around.

Always something to learn....that's part of it.

Ha ha that's what I'm doing too. I started doing this stuff when I was 16. Worked my way up to oooh "professional" type projects. I'm back to the backyard wrenching. Much more fun. All I can say is, don't lose sight of FUN.

Sometime soon I'll post up a video! Possibly next week, I'm putting new exhaust in the car, once I get a video I'll post the link here!
I did not take the pistons out but I inspected the main caps, an they looked REALLY good, no scratches whatsoever, it was completely stock, so I figured it didn't have a hard life. Plus it was my first rebuild, so I don't want to spend that money/time in case something was wrong with my work. Next time I get the opportunity, I'm building that sucker up!!

These are great cars! I used to have an 83 Hurst/Olds. It was my three season car in high school. I sold it after electrical gremlins took over in the dash and all of the gauges went haywire. I miss it dearly and wish that I would have had the good judgement to keep it and restore it.
