Kiwi Vista Cruiser
Just some pix of my 71 Vista thats turned into a mammoth mission. Have been at it for aabout 12 months now and have just put body back on chassis to replace the floor pan
Does the car have a sunroof?
If it does the inside of the car should be as bright as a convertible with the top down.
I like the way the rear has the light coming in on Vistas, looks bright and airy in the back when you're driving. With the tinting it reminds me of the diffused solarium light in fine old mansions, unlike the common longroof wagon dungeon-like darkness and gloom.
I think you can get patch panels for the lower cowl if you're looking for those.
Those rusted through dog leg sections may be a challenge, they had a ton of lead on those from the factory on mine, about ten tons on the roof and C pillars seams. The left side lead guy was much better than the right on mine.

Unfortunately it does have a sunroof that I am going to remove it doesnt open and allows the front seat to get extremely hotand with sun in the wrong place it can be very hard on the eyes. Am wanting to make it as original as possible and when sunroof was put in by one of the prvious owners they cut through the front roof brace. I had only driven this maybe couple thousand miles at the very most when a couple of problems happened. Being a completely untalented back yard mechanic decided to repair these small problems, hence the complete strip down. Am still thoroughly enjoying it (so far). Just makes it a little more challenging getting parts, or at least the right parts, living in New Zealand. If I do order the wrong bits or sent wrong bits its a lot of hassle or more often than not having to modify. Thankfully this has only happened a couple of times
