Looks good! I'm partial to black on these cars, and yours looks really good! How detailed was the resto? Do you have any pics along the way?

I was going to ask about that because none of the 1972 A bodies (Olds, Chev, Pontiac, Buick) had black on the color palette. It does look good. Did the original owner swap out for the OAI hood and does it have the underhood components too?

I'm guessing your cowl tag will show PNT code 56. Did it have a black vinyl roof to start with? If it did the next letter beside the PNT code would be B.

The 72 Cutlass and Cutlass S came standard with the L32 (350 2bbl 2GC carb). So your cowl tag likely also says A52 on it - that's the standard bench seat. What factory built it?
re: no options. Well it has the V36 bumper guards, C08 vinyl roof and W25 hood. The TH350 transmission is also an option (M38) as would be the Power steering, power brakes and radio. If your car is the Cutlass instead of Cutlass S, then even the floor carpeting is an option.
How to tell if it's a
Cutlass - The VIN will start 3F87
Cutlass S - The VIN will start 3G87
