71 Cutlass Supreme power train and AC refurb
In my intro, I included a couple of pictures of the powertrain rebuild that I have in process for my 1971 Cutlass Supreme convertible. I've also posted a couple of other threads asking for advice and input, which I appreciate receiving. I'm going to start a thread with additional pictures of the project.
The engine and trans rebuilds have been completed. Here are some pictures of them paired together. I have some more work to do before I'll be ready to put these back into the engine compartment.
I am doing a stock rebuild to be a daily driver. When I bought the car, several things had been modified. The original M3C Rochester carb had been replaced with a Holley. I am putting a Rochester back on the car. That took some time to find a core and the rebuild of it isn't yet done. In some of these pictures, you can see a lifting plate bolted to the intake.
More to come as the project progresses.
