Idk what the engine is na, I'm guessing 350-375, and I've heard you get an extra 20-25 hp per psi. My end goal is 10 psi.
It still needs a lot of work but I have no plans on quitting on it.

I finally added a fuse to the battery, figured it be a safe thing to do with a cable running from the trunk to the engine. And I had to add this hood bubble to clear the carb hat, idk how I feel about it but it was free.

I also added a 1" rear sway bar a week or so ago, not a stock style but the kind that bolts to the axle tube and has links going to the frame. Got it free off an 89 iroc. I realized I don't keep this thread up to date very well. Heres a few more updates.

It was fun reading the posts. I bought my 66 F85 Delux in 1974, and have done a pile of work on it, but not as fast as you. It came out with a 6 popper too, and the Jetaway 2 speed went out, so I put a 3 speed manual out of a Chevelle in it. That 6 popper had a monster top end. It would go 65 in 2nd gear. I didn't have much money, but did have ambition, so split the manifold and ran duals out. Finally, the 250 took a heckuva a beating so I made a pile of changes. When it was all said and done, I had a 330 with a 200 R4 and 4:56 positrac. It was fun but I want to drive it, so put in the rear end from a 65. I think they are 2:73's or 2:78's. For anyone planning on putting in a 200 R4, don't go any less than 3:23 gears. On paper, the car should do 160 mph, but it would go airborn. Can't wait to see your finished product.

Started installing the alcohol injection yesterday, still need to mount the tank and wire it. I'm running a pre turbo nozzle and a post turbo nozzle.

Since my drag car isn't done Lucy will have to pull track duty at the strip a few times, did a test fit in drag trim.

been taking it slow but i am still working on the car when i have time. i put a new carpet in and got new, junkyard seats. first engine died so i replaced it with another 350 but got lucky and found one that had already been rebuilt with .030 over pistons and i mad sure this one had decent compression, feels way better than the old one. i took the short tires off and got a more appropriately sized tires, looks way better and now im considering lowering it. i also converted to h4 bulbs for headlights and i got lenses with halo rings. she needs a lot more work but she's shaping up.
Nice ride! I'm curious where did you mount the small boxes that come with those HID headlight. Any photos? I had some on my 72, and i purchased some for my 66 Cutlass about a year ago.

Weighed Lucy today. Scale flashed between 3600-3620 so I'm guessing 3610-3615 but I had a roof rack on and stuff in the trunk, probably 25-30lbs worth of stuff that wouldn't be there at the track. Overall I'm happy with that weight, mostly cause I was expecting it to be more.

My driveshaft has been rubbing the tunnel in the last maybe 1' section. I hit a big bump on the freeway and nearl knocked my u joint out so I decided it was time to raise the tunnel.

It was a snug fit to get my fingeres between the tunnel and the shaft, I'll be raising it about 2". Hopefully that'll be enough clearance

Finally mounted my front speakers. Now I have two 6.5 in the rear deck with tweeters in the sail panels where courtesy lights would be, 6.5 in the kick panel with tweeters in the dash where the stock speaker would be.

I used panel bond to glue mounting rings to the car, haven't decided how I'll do the kick panels yet

No updates just wondering where you guys get your window felts and windlace? I need the fuzzy inside pieces and the squeegee outside piece as well as windlace and don't know a good place to buy these things.

She's got a new look, decided I'm over the protouring direction I was going, going for a stock plain Jane look. I'm looking into making my t56 work with a bench, if that goes well I will be putting the rubber floor mat and stock steering wheel as well. I plan on eventually getting poverty caps and painting the wheels to match the car, whenever I finally get around to paint.

As rambow knows I've been on and off with this car and I'm off right now, have been for a bit. Idk if I'm getting bored or if my interest have changed, but I'm considering selling. Idk how much interest there would be in a car like mine or even what it might be worth. I may make more parting it, rambow would have first dibs on the car with sicky olds having first dibs on t56 and associated parts leaving the engine up for grabs. Gauges and fuel cell are going into the manta. What are your guys thoughts? I'm just not sure I want to continue to put money in this just to decide to sell later and loose more money

Hard to stay motivated when doing more than one project. Even harder to finish one of them. Some guys have the energy and focus to keep going. Wish I did. LOL
Good luck making the call.

It is tuff, all three of the cars I own are projects. I haven't touched my 62 in a couple years and I rarely even think about working on it, not that I even have a place to do the kind of work that it needs. I've been interested in Italian cars and rally for a while but the interest has been building and I want to build one. I love my cars I currently own but I know I can't afford more which leaves me to choose

Unfortunately I'm out of the running- a different project fell in my lap last summer:
I've been busy building a wicked BBC/4spd setup for it to do stupidly awesome burnouts! Should be on the road shortly :-D
Of course i'm still here because i cant quite drag myself away from oldsmobiles either.. ;-)
Anyway- If it were me, I would either cover it and store it for 6-9months and let yourself forget about it for a while and see what you think about playing with it later on...
OR... I'd focus on finishing it- it runs and drives nice- but get the bodywork done and get it painted... Painted and cleaned up, it should be worth a solid $10k-$15k depending how nice the paint job you put on it is, and if you do the grunt work yourself, it won't be too bad. The Maaco over in Shoreline is known to do good work on musclecars if you do the prep ahead of time.
My neighbor had his 67 Chevy truck painted there about 3 years ago.. looks amazing (he did all the prep work himself of course). total bill was only $3k.
Something to think about.

Roger,
You have worked so hard on this car. I know I have been a part of the parts you have used. My best suggestion to you is to store it and wait. If you sell it you will be sorry. you won't get anywhere near what you should for what you have done and your interest will change. We all get to a point in a build that is frustrating or we think of a new direction that can be a pain to deal with.
Do the Opel and wait. Time will change things.
You have too much of you in this car.

I decided I don't think I can sell her. I am planning on putting her in storage for a while so we can take a break and start fresh. I did do a few things to her though recently. Put a class 2 receiver on since I don't have a truck anymore and I finally registered some old plates to her.

Still have her. Don’t really know what happened, maybe it was getting to complicated for me to enjoy idk. She is now very basic, 6 cylinder and 2 speed auto, bench seat, column shift. I basically stripped everything I had done, kept the parts( some went to the Opel and some went to the 62), and put her back to stock.
