1972 cutlass supreme rebuild

I got a cutlass supreme for 2500 and it runs and is solid. at what point money wise would I be putting too much into it? with paint I am seeing 15000 or so go out the window.

any thoughts?

The point at which you are putting too much into it is the first time you open your wallet. Most of us don't do it to make money, and breaking even is a remote possibility. With that said, I build cars for the entertainment value, and the love of a particular car. I build it the way I want and when I get tired of it I sell it and move on to another. If you watch every penny you spend you will be miserable. Most cars, for a frame on restore are going to run you about $15-20k if it were purchased for $5k or less and you can do 75% of the work yourself.
