1971 Cutlass S

Ive been on the forum for some time so I figured I would post what im actually working on. Its a 71 s that I bought from the original owners son. it was purchased new here in az, actually in mesa. I have the protecto plate and original bill of sale. I have so far had the motor rebuilt, tranny done, all new brakes, radiator, etc. I just finished detailing the ac box and firewall. I still have the booster and master cylinder to do. The original owner had hit something with it back in the late 80s and afterwards he just parked it. I bought it needing a hood, fender and door. I have since tracked down all original sheet metal. I have both hoods with and without the louvers and have decided to go "without". The car will be black with factory pearl white interior. Havent decided if I will keep the white painted top or get rid of it. I bought a spoiler which I will also be installing as well as new engine light harness, weather stripping, bumpers, and chrome mirrors. well hope you like it...

Just my opinion, don't drill holes in the trunk lid and install the spoiler on a non 442 or with out a ramair hood.

ya I understand someone not wanting holes in the trunk...but the way I look at it is I like the way it looks..and if and when tje car seels ill give new owner the paint code and he or she can either purchas a new trunk or fix the holes which isnt a very tough fix if you have access to a welder and sheet metal.

I was thinking more in the lines of "let a Cutlass S be a Cutlass S".
