Your car is really looking sharp. I,m no expert but I will take a look at my 71 Supreme (its a Canadian car) and see what the top plate looks like and let you know. And keep the pictures coming theres never enough.

Yeah! These pics are very boring.......can you post some more! Looks fabulous! I'm getting very excited for you. Weighing in on the top plate, does look wrong....my '72 looks like the others. If you are in need of one, let me know, I have a spare!

Thumbs up

I just looked at the '70 Vista I'm doing, and it is the same top plate as yours! Built in Lansing....car has no a/c, therefore, no plastic shroud! This might answer your problem as your car has no a/c, correct? Maybe another non a/c guy can verify. My '72 has a/c.......

Yes, the Vista also has the 4 blade, but we bought a 7 blade with clutch for better cooling, did that conversion on my '65 and made a world of difference! By the way, you can post every little pic......I do!

Just looked at my Chassis Service Manual, Your top plate is shown on the first page of "Radiator and Grille" Section 13-1, the other upper radiator support that some of us have is shown on the same page and the next page, it does not indicate the reason for the two, A/C or no A/C.

I'm wondering if it could be that the other one has a shroud on it and ours doesn't. As for my sig picture it was done by one of the guys here, this is his email address: jon442@aol.com send him a message to see if he still does it.

Yeah it may have to do with no AC and I know I have a 4 blade fan.
Thanks for the email address Bull. Are you going to the nationals this summer?

I would like to but my car is stored in Fort Erie where I have a few acres and a large garage to store it. Besides my car is not even close to the quality of cars there.

For those who like it here is your latest picture fix.
Parts starting to get cleaned and reassembled.
New rubbers on the bumper guards and a nice touch they did to the underside is to paint silver to stop any rust.
And yes still wet sanding 1000 then 1500 (I had this wrong before)

It's coming together and I am pretty impressed with their attention to detail. Carpet, interior, window sweeps and lots of cleaning going on.
