After a marathon of work, the car finally made its debut at the Homecoming show over the weekend. It was received well and I appreciate the kind words from my fellow Oldsmobile enthusiasts. I was surprised and honored with an Award of Excellence from the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum.

All was not perfect. A few issues popped up that still need to be addressed. I have a faulty fuel pump that will not hold pressure into the carb. My trans shift cable still needs adjusting as I am having trouble reaching park. Finally, my brakes are very soft and barely work. I've bled the system multiple times and I plan on making sure the rear brakes are assembled properly. There is also a chance I have a faulty booster. The pedal is very firm until the car is started, then it softens up.

Congratulations Tim. Any plans to take it to the Nationals?

Fantastic build, amazing to see the level of detail and the quality work. Thank you so much for sharing. It's inspiring me to get out there and upgrade and improve instead of letting it sit!

Thanks for the compliments. Though all the bugs aren't worked out yet, it sure feels great to have it done.
