1967 Oldsmobile 442 Restoration

I started my first restoration last year of a 1967 Oldsmobile 442. I have always wanted to do a restoration and figured it would be a great project to do with my sons and have always liked this car.

I haven't decided who I am going to use for the body/paint and would very much appreciate if anyone can suggest someone reputable on the East Coast that has lots of experience with 442's.

I am open to any advice anyone feels I could benefit from as I would like to avoid either going back and doing something a second time.

I will post pictures as I go.

Thanks in advance!

Nice project! I would say for paint and bodywork a shop need not be familiar with the 442 only familiar with good resto work and not just a collision center that moves cars thru ASAP. The shop would be more of a resto shop. You need to decide what paint and finish you want on the car. Some base/clear systems produce a finish which represents something not true to original factory finishes.

Scott Willborn in NC is top notch and really knows the 66-67 442s.

I used the Fusick line for the engine paint: (Heard it was a very close match to original)
