If I don’t touch it Iwill let it go for $22,500 It has very nice paint and interior solid car. ¼sand floors replaced when restored about 7 years ago. Has been sitting inside agarage on jack stands in Dallas the last 5 years. Battery dead and tires werenear flat. I have not tried to even start it. If I spend a little time andmoney this car will bring mid-upper 20’s easy but I will let someone else do that ifthey want it as is.

5 All day long. Exterior color will pop, but the interior should stay cooler

I like the silver but with red and the chrome at the bottom.
Also I like the black and red combo but switch red w/ black and chrome at the bottom.
post those combo's and see what the fans say.

I've got it down to my for sure final 3. After staring and staring the gold and the blue look better with the front color roof but the silver looks better with the rear color roof. It was pretty easy getting to this point but the next step is going to be tough. They all look so damn good.

Final 3

You can't go wrong, they all just pop off the paper.

I'm not a big fan of exposed lug nuts, but what do I know anyway?....Tedd

Richard, I have to say I'm glad the final choice is yours.

Of those three, the black and silver combo with red trim works the best for me. There's just something about that combination that looks sooo good; maybe it's good times in my '83 H/O lingering in my head. Ordinarily, gold would not be a color I would consider, but on the 54 body, I think it looks great! The blue/black seems a little garish on a big car. It would look fantastic on a Mustang or Camaro. Just my opinion, of course.

Like any other art, it's very subjective to the viewer. The only person you have to please is you and any one of those combos in its completed form would be outstanding, I'm sure! The best part is, until it's time to fill that first spray gun, you still have time to decide! Good luck!

I like them all for different reasons but once I commite to a color on paper thats it. Thats what it will be. Sure I will have to then have a final color code to spray but I need this selection to be made so finish details can all come together in my head.

Richard,

Any of those colors would look nice but I have to say I like the gold the best. How long do you plan to keep us in suspense before you let us know what you decided?

I reeeeaaallly like the white & gold because of the Hurst/Olds connotation, but the silver & black kicks ***!

BTW, if you really wanna build a killer 394, just write a real BIG check to Ross Racing

I'll be the odd one out and root for the gold/white combo with the gold wheels. It rocks.....and gold is an Olds thing!

You could paint it refrigerator white and it would still look good (not as good as any of the 3 choices but still good). That's a beautiful body style.

They're all stunners. Have you considered turquoise/black over the electric blue/black?

My personal preference here- use chrome reverse wheels or maybe Radirs.

Think it was Tedd mentioned a 394 Hilborn injection setup- I think I've heard of adapting those things to EFI so you get better driveability. Hilborn Injection was one of the hairiest looking things there was, but miserable to live with below 2500 rpm.

Thats an option but if I can swing it the 54 will have twin turbos. It will require a custom intake with single carb style throttle body.

Erafusion as in taking elements of a early 60's custom and early rocket motor and fusing it with a modern fuel infected pro-touring street rod. The font was stolen from the deck lid emblem of a mid 50's Ninety Eight

Richard I am getting ready to move may 1st, after i get settled lets get together and talk TURBO. Maybe we can work together, learn and build. I really am leaning on a turbo 425 for the 64 F-85!! ( that 425 you gave me)

Richard the gold and white rendition is the best with the trim down low. I love it!

Thanks. You making any progress on either of yours?

I have been trying to figure out what to use for that lower moulding. Well the answer came to me over the weekend. I picked up a parts car 64 Galaxie500XL to steal a few parts off of for a mini project 64 Galaxie convertible I am working on to take on Power Tour. Well the 1/4 moulding of the Galaxie is the perfect width and taper at the end to use on my 54.

Richard its a long story, surgery 's, bad experience with the body shop that did the 72......... I am thinking about selling all of my 65 related stuff.
The lower trim lining up with thr bumper is just perfect.
