Post Air conditioning

Hi everyone.
I am new in these forums. Furthermore I am a new person in USA. When I came here two months ago I bought a 1998 Intrigue. I love my car very much. But I have a problem: My A/C button does not work. When I push it, the lights on it blinks for several times, then it goes off. I could not manage to get cold air. Can anyone tell me the prbolem and the solution, please?
Thanks

I would suggest taking your car to the nearest auto parts store and having them see if there are any trouble codes in the ECM. Since the light blinks a few times before shutting off it makes me think you might have something wrong with your AC system.

Low freon will also cause this effect as the flashing light is A warning .Probaly just neet to have the system serviced & re programed Also if you bought the car from a reputable dealer -Car lot go back to them first & ask for assistance.

Sounds like a leak in the system...had this problem a couple times.

The fact that the button actually blinks and then goes off, the control unit is doing what it is supposed to do.
