Lower dash is apart - what to do to switches, etc before reassembly?

As you have probably guessed I am restoring my dash right now. What things can I do to things like the light switch, ignition switch, etc while they are all apart to make sure they operate like new? As in, what lube and how to apply it, and where? Even the lock cylinders...

Thanks.

Lock cylinders I would use some form of graphite and maybe a dielectric grease for the switches. I don't recommend gobbing it on though, be frugal.
