Hi all -
I know a lot of parts are pretty interchangeable with GM cars, so my question is... I'm looking for new seats covers for my car, and will 1967 Chevy Camaro or Chevelle seat covers be compatible with my '67 Cutlass? I realize that the stitching would not be the same as the original Olds seat covers, but I want something that's different anyway. Pictures of what I'm interested in shown. Thanks for any help and suggestions :-)
67 camaro will not fit (front or back). 67 chevelle should with the same style front seat. 67 chevelle front bench seats do not have a center arm rest. If you have factory bucket seats, 67 chevelle bucket seat covers will fit. If you have a front bench seat with a center arm rest, a 67 chevelle bench seat cover will not fit.
Hi Tom -
Thanks for that info. I do have the factory bucket seats in my '67. If the Chevelle seat covers are for a convertible, would it still not fit? I will go ahead and order the bucket seat covers, but I would really love to have matching rear seat covers also. I just really like the look that this seller offers for the Chevrolet seat covers, (the red with black inset or the black with white inset) and they only offer plain colors for the Oldsmobiles :-( Also there is over $100 or $200 cost difference in the covers. Olds are way more expensive for some reason. If you don't mind me asking (because this is an Oldsmobile forum), but what is the difference with the Camaro seats vs the Chevelle seats, that one would work for the Olds, but not the other? Thanks again for your help.
I think you misunderstood my post. The 67 chevelle convertible rear seat cover will fit your rear seat. So, you can use 67 chevelle front bucket seat covers and a 67 convertible rear seat cover. As far as chevelle vs. camaro, the seat frames (front and rear) are totally different between the two cars (F-body vs. A-body). The frames are different sizes. The covers mount differently. The covers go over different areas of seats. The front bucket seat backs and bases attach to eachother in totally different ways.
